Sideboard / Cupboard

This navy blue pine sideboard/cabinet was hand painted in a blue mineral paint with some light distressing to reveal a sage green undercoat and finally dark waxed to give an aged patina.
The cabinet top has been stripped and then oiled and waxed with an aged lived in feel. The original handles were replaced with new pewter metal handles giving it a contemporary farmhouse style.
A great storage piece with 3 good sized drawers and a cupboard underneath with internal shelf.

​Modern Chest of Drawers

This chest of drawers arrived following an email conversation with a great client who asked “out of interest, can you paint furniture if it’s not solid wood” and the answer was.. tick yes! From that conversation this beauty was commissioned.
If you look at the before and after pics, this was a standard modern oak veneer chest of drawers with silver metal handles and legs. Chipboard and hardboard, a sturdy and well made piece of furniture.
Now it’s a very gorgeous expensive looking, dark green mineral painted chest with the same handles and legs which have been sprayed a satin gold colour; totally inspired and a lot of fun to create!

Lamp Stand

Painting vintage lamp bases is one of those real treats for me and this little treasure was spotted by a client on our website waiting to be commissioned.
It has been painted in a warm taupe colour and will look stunning in its new home!

Sideboard

This stunning sideboard was painted using a black mineral paint and then a gold paint applied to highlight the feature of the piece. Gorgeous solid brass handles finished the look.

repurposing an old chair

The dining chair was past its useful life without some serious structural work but why throw away when it can be used in the garden as a flower planter! Painted in a blue mineral paint the seat cushioning was removed and replaced by a planted hanging basket - a flower cushion! 
It looked gorgeous all summer long 🌸

PIANO CHAIR

This old piano stool was also in need of some serious structural work if it was ever to be sat on again!
Mineral paints tend to be used for interior furniture but they can also be used on our exterior garden furniture, flower pots and anything else which needs paint.
The piano stool was painted with a black mineral paint, holes drilled in the seat and lined with plastic. Planting the box with pretty basket plants finished the look.

Bedside Cabinets

These solid wood bedside cabinets were painted in a mid grey mineral paint; a beautiful warm colour which would fit into many interior colour schemes.
The original handles were replaced with a more contemporary polished chrome cup style handle. for a modern farmhouse feel.

Occassional Table

This unusual shaped solid wood occasional table was painted in a mat black mineral paint. The carved details on the legs were then embellished with imitation gold leaf transforming this into a real eye catching piece.

Coffee Table

Sometimes it is not necessary to completely paint a piece in a sold colour.
​This large wooden coffee table was sanded back and white washed to show its grain to give it a more modern feel.

Country Style Console Table

This beautiful country style washstand/ console table was originally a 1990s pine unit. The legs and drawer were painted in a bespoke mid grey mineral paint whilst the horizontal surfaces were painted and then stained with coloured oils to give a wipeable but rustic wooden feel.

​Midcentury Meredew sideboard

This little gem was given as a wedding present to the original owner in 1953. It is by the maker Meredew and still has the original markers stamp in the drawer. Unfortunately the veneer was in a sorry condition and so it was refurbished in a sage grey/green mineral paint with a dark grey paint highlighting those areas which were originally a chocolate brown colour against the original beech veneer.

Pine Chest of Drawers

A normal piece of pine furniture before, now after a full refurbishment in a white mineral paint, it’s quite amazing what a difference painting and a new set of handles can do! It would now look good in any modern contemporary interior and is ready for many many more years of use.
